Adam Giza for several years at TVP
In mid-March this year, Adam Giza announced that he had formally ended his cooperation with Telewizja Polska. In practice, he disappeared from the public broadcaster’s broadcasts at the end of December, as did the vast majority of TVP Info journalists.
At this station, Adam Giza co-hosted the programs “The Day Is Coming Up” and “It’s Talking About It”. During the epidemic, he hosted the series “Koronawirus Poradnik” and then started the program “Info Med”. In the middle of last year he joined the group of presenters of “Panorama” and reporters of “Wiadomości” (he prepared materials mainly on health issues).
Previously, he was one of the presenters of TVP1’s morning show “Good morning, Poland!” and a weather presenter.
At the end of October, shortly after the parliamentary elections, as a result of which PiS lost power, the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal received a message in which Adam Giza argued that in “Wiadomości” he “only produced medical materials, without any hint of politics!” – I have never been involved in politics – everyone, from PO leaders to PiS supporters, is sick. I also did not evaluate what material was broadcast in “Wiadomości” before and after my medical examination – the journalist explained.
– So it seems that it is difficult to find a more apolitical program on Polish television in recent years. My popularity and main responsibilities on TVP have nothing to do with politics. In none of my programs did we criticize the health system or refer to politics, he said. wPolsce24 for two weeks

wPolce24 began broadcasting on the eighth digital terrestrial television multiplex on September 2, based on the license granted in mid-June by the National Broadcasting Council. As we have already reported, the new channel is also available on selected cable networks and on the Polsat Box platform. It replaced Telewizja wPolsce.pl, which was launched by Fratria in mid-2017. – On September 2, the wPolsce.pl station will change to wPolsce24. You will still be able to watch us on the same band – announced on the broadcaster’s social media profiles.
In the competition decided in mid-June, the National Broadcasting Council also granted a license to the Republika channel (broadcast by TV Republika), having lost out to bids from PTV (TV2 Media) and Polska24 (MWE Networks Group). Republika began broadcasting on 12 July.
While wPolce24 started broadcasting on the latest possible date. The National Council issued the licensing documents on July 2, and according to the license, the broadcaster has two months from that date to start broadcasting.
