Actor Roberto Frota, who starred in several Globo soap operas, died this Tuesday morning (24) at the age of 85. According to the newspaper Extra, the cause of death was pneumonia.

A family member of the artist confirmed his death. Actor Roberto Frota had been battling lung cancer for a year and a half.
Roberto Frota had children Verônica and Thiago with Ana Maria Frota. He later married actress Ângela Vieira, with whom he had a daughter, Nina. He was then married to Rio de Janeiro lawyer Márcia Prado from 2008 to 2014.
