A man, still unidentified, was injured on Tuesday morning, October 1, after suffering an electric shock while carrying out repairs on the roof of a residence located on Avenida Monte Castillo, in the Virgil do Lago neighborhood.
Shortly after the accident, the fire department was called and sent a team including four soldiers at around 10 am. At the scene of the incident, the guard discovered that the victim had been electrocuted and was lying on the ceiling.
There, the team assessed the entire situation with the aim of preventing others from being exposed to electric shock. With the help of Samoa rescuers, firefighters were able to pull the injured person from the roof.
The injured person received first aid from USA 04 from Samoa and was transferred to one of the health units to receive appropriate medical care.
