The window was open: a three-year-old child at a daycare center in Ulfeld (district Neustadt Adisch-Bad Windsheim) took advantage of this and escaped for a short time. Police said Tuesday that the boy may have climbed outside Monday morning through a window that a craftsman had left open — and went unnoticed at first. Later, a woman saw the three-year-old alone in the city and called the police. She returned him to the day care center safely and unharmed.
