This new version of “Dragon Ball” will be released a few months after the death, in March, of the author of the original manga, Akira Toriyama, at the age of 68. He achieved worldwide fame thanks to his work, published in 1984, then adapted two years later into the first cartoon to tour the planet.

In France, it was broadcast on the TF1 show “Club Dorothée” (with the famous theme song sung by host Ariane especially for France) and left its mark on generations. “Dragon Ball” tells the adventures of Son Goku, a mischievous little boy who is talented in martial arts and has a monkey tail, who sets out to search for seven magic crystal balls.
