A resident of the Lower Mainland, in British Columbia, Canada, had an unusual encounter with a bear in his garage. Alex Gold was unloading groceries when a bear entered his garage with the door open.
The video of this meeting, recorded by surveillance cameras at the residence, spread on social media because of the man’s “calm” reaction. In the pictures, the bear approaches Alex several times, who claps his hands and calmly returns.
After he was finally able to get into the car, he used the horn to scare away the bear along with the cub that appears at the end of the video. Alex commented that the family was accustomed to having bears in the area and the situation happened so quickly that he did not have time to get scared.
