The man and his three children whose bodies were found on Saturday at their home in Staines-upon-Thames, southwest of London, were Polish, British media reported on Sunday. Police believe no third party was involved in their deaths.
Police found the bodies on Saturday at around 1.15pm local time. Surrey Police confirmed the three boys – all under the age of four – were related to the man and said at this stage of the investigation they believed it was an isolated incident with no third party involved.
No identification of the body
As the formal identification of the bodies has not yet been carried out, the police did not provide the names of the victims, but the British media did so late on Sunday afternoon, also publishing photos of the victims.
Police said the immediate family, including the boys’ mother, had been informed of the incident and had received counselling. Due to officers’ previous contact with the family, the IOPC, an independent body that oversees the police, had been informed of the incident.
