Law and Justice has appealed to its supporters for financial support in connection with the National Electoral Commission’s decision to reject the party’s financial report. As Wirtualna Polska has learned, PLN 1.5 million has already been transferred to the party’s account since the announcement of the levy! The PiS portal’s interlocutors emphasize that by Monday they expect this amount to increase to PLN 2 million.
On Thursday, the National Electoral Commission rejected the financial report of the PiS commission for the 2023 parliamentary elections and alleged irregularities in campaign financing worth PLN 3.6 million. PiS’s subsidy will be reduced by PLN 10 million; the party may also be deprived of subsidies for 3 years.
On Friday, the PiS chairman appealed at a press conference to “all Polish patriots, all those who supported us, including in the last elections, to transfer even small amounts, even in the form of zlotys, to our account”. As he said, “all this can result in really decent sums that will allow us to continue the party’s activities, but above all, to conduct the presidential campaign, because at the moment it is at the centre of it”.
PiS club head Mariusz Błaszczak announced that “PiS MPs will support the party financially through donations from September.”
Deputies and senators will pay a minimum of PLN 1,000 per month and members of the European Parliament a minimum of PLN 5,000. zloty
