A fraudster who falsified Baixada job vacancies has been arrested

Civil police officers from the 12th District (Copacabana) arrested, on Sunday (29), a fraudster who falsified job vacancies in major companies operating in Rio de Janeiro.

According to investigations, Marcelo Bainci attracted unemployed people online, offering them opportunities with salaries exceeding R$10,000. The criminal created a false selection process and charged registration fees to take money from victims.

According to information from the Civil Police, Marcelo hid in his mother’s house, in Quemados, Baixada Fluminense, after learning of the report about him. When the police arrived, he tried to flee through the wooded area, but the teams surrounded him.

Marcelo Payense has been transferred to Benfica prison and will be charged with embezzlement, fraud and criminal association.
