A taxi driver called the police to Aachner Street in Forcillen about an accident that occurred at 11:30 pm on Tuesday.
According to police, an unidentified driver previously hit parked cars at a relatively high speed and pushed them into a light pole. But when police arrived, officers found only one uninjured passenger, who confirmed he was not driving the car. Instead, the driver and other passengers fled on foot.
Witnesses told police that they had actually noticed the car on Krefelderstrasse due to its unusual driving style.
Now police are searching for the driver and possible passengers. The total damage is estimated at approximately 100 thousand euros.
