Police, under the supervision of the prosecutor, are investigating the circumstances of the tragic accident at the Sopot railway station. In the morning, a 23-year-old man died under the wheels of a train. “The police have detained a 20-year-old resident of Gdynia who took part in this tragic event,” said Lucyna Rekowska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Sopot.
Police were notified of the tragic incident on Saturday at around 5:30 p.m.
Police officers from the investigation team are working at the scene of the incident, who, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office and with the participation of a forensic doctor, are collecting evidence and explaining in detail all the circumstances of the death of the 23-year-old. In connection with the case, the police have detained a 20-year-old resident of Gdynia, who was directly involved in this tragic incident. – Rekowska informed.
The 20-year-old arrested was drunkhad 1.8 per mil of alcohol. The man was taken to the Sopot police station.
After taking the appropriate measures, the police will place you in police custody, at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. – informs the spokesperson.
The proceedings in the case are being conducted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Sopot.
