A 1.5-year-old child fell from the second-floor balcony of an apartment building in Grójec (Masovian Voivodeship). The boy was taken to hospital by an air ambulance helicopter. Doctors described the child’s condition as stable.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, after 21.
The boy leaned over the railing of the balcony of an apartment on the second floor of a building on Bankowa ul. in Grójec and fell onto the concrete surface in front of the building.
The child with bodily injuries was transported by air ambulance helicopter to a hospital in Warsaw. Immediately after the incident, the boy’s condition was considered stable. – said Grójec police spokeswoman Asp. Agata Sławińska.
At the time of the accident in the apartment there were, among others, the child’s mother, as well as the stepfather. Both were sober. The police determine whether the child was properly cared for, whether the incident occurred as a result of neglect in care, or whether it was an accident.
This is the second recent case in the district. Grójec, when a small child fell from a great height from the apartment. In August in Częstoniew-Kolonia A 2.5-year-old boy fell from a first-floor window of a multi-family building.
The boy fell on a concrete block and suffered head injuries. The unconscious child was transported to a hospital in Warsaw by an LPR helicopter. As reported on Wednesday by Asst. Sławińska, everything ended well. The boy was in a coma for several days, but upon waking up he began to recover quickly and was discharged from the hospital.
