Caracas, Venezuela.- Venezuelan oppositionist María Corina Machado denied President Nicolás Maduro’s claims that she fled to Spain and assured that she is still in the country.
“Venezuelan people know that I am here in Venezuela, the people know it and Nicolás Maduro knows it too. What’s happening is that they’re desperate to know where I am, and I’m not going to give them that pleasure,” Machado said in an interview with EVTV.
She said she will continue to fight and both she and the people are “determined to go all the way”. “La sayona” fled to a place in Spain,” Maduro said this Wednesday in a televised event.
Yesterday, the opponent took part in a video call hours after Maduro joked that she had fled the country.
