A 54-year-old man was arrested last Tuesday afternoon (15) in Nova Itaberaba, in the western part of Santa Catarina, to serve a final sentence for the rape of a vulnerable person. The victim is the author’s own daughter.

The arrest warrant was executed by the Santa Catarina Civil Police. According to the investigation, the man is from Chapeco and the crime was committed in 2016 when the victim was 13 years old.
The prisoner was on the Linha Santa Lúcia, in the municipality. According to the police, he did not offer any resistance and after legal procedures he was sent to jail.
The punishment is 14 years in prison.
