Truck overturns, driver dies on BR-101 highway

This afternoon, Friday the 20th, the driver of a trailer died after his vehicle overturned on a section of the BR-101 highway, in the village of Cana Brava, municipality of São Sebastião, southern region of Alagoas.

The driver did not resist and died at the scene.

The Fire Department was called, but when the team arrived at the scene they found the only victim already dead under the vehicle. The victim was approximately 40 years old, but his identity has not been officially confirmed.

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) was also called and sent a garrison to monitor the situation. As of this writing, tow trucks are still expected to remove the vehicle and remove the victims.

Truck overturns on BR-101 in São Sebastião

Neither of the two official bodies was able to provide information on the dynamics of the accident and the cause of the vehicle crash.

Unofficial information states that the truck was loaded with cakes and some of its products were looted by the public, but these reports have not been confirmed.
