TV chaos at Schalke match: match unwatchable for several minutes

News

During the 2nd Bundesliga match between Schalke and Darmstadt, football fans suddenly watched for a few minutes. A few minutes after Moussa Sylla’s goal made it 2-0, the picture suddenly disappeared. Only the Sky commentator could be heard. This refers to a power outage in the arena.

Shortly afterwards, the crowd missed Ron Schallenberg’s goal to make it 3-0. From the 40th minute Sky went back on air – with some small, shaky images.

There were also some technical issues at the Schalke Arena. The floodlights went out briefly during the match. Play continued.
