The entry of the State into Telefónica alarms its rivals in Spain

Competitors of the old monopoly fear that there will be a distortion of competition, that regulations will be changed to favor it or that they will have advantages in public tenders.

The Government’s entry into Telefónica, through the taking of a stake of up to 10% that the state holding Sepi will buy, is generating concern and suspicion among the operator’s rivals in the Spanish telecom market.
